So there's this new book (soon to be series, I think) that my friends have recently made me an addict of... "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. Currently reading its sequel, "New Moon". The writing isn't brilliant and neither is the story, but the characters seem very well developed, & for some reason, I'm hooked. Check it out next time you're in Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million! & if you become a fan... The Author's Site

UPDATE: Do NOT read the sequel to the sequel of Twilight... Aka, the newest installment, Eclipse. V_V IT IS SO STUPID. By the way: Twilight ---> New Moon ---> Eclipse ---> New Moon, on a scale of one to ten, rates a 4. As for its lovely sequel: a 1.
