I really, really like "Desiree's Baby" and "Benito Cereno". What about you?

Ooh, "Desiree's Baby" is a really good one.
Personally, as far as short stories go, I don't have an absolute favorite. Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily" is good, and so is just about any of Flannery O'Conner's work ("A Good Man is Hard to Find" is one of my personal favorites). Any of Poe's short stories too, if you're into darker themes, are well-worth reading.
Honestly, I'm more of a poetry girl, myself, but I love it all.

I finally read a "Rose For Emily"... I love it O: And what's cool is my boyfriend is related to William Faulkner ...and, ironically, they share the same birthday. Muahaha. It's a sign! Of what, I have no idea! ^^ Hmmmm what other short stories do I like... Yes, Poe is excellent. Argh. Well, whatever short stories are in the 9th-11th grade Lit. books are some of my favorites. I don't remember who the authors were or what the titles were, though!

My teacher started laughing in my Myth class one time while we were talking about Cassandra because of my name actually being Kassandra... XD she was like "One letter change and it would be funnier.."

I like reading fiction and Anne McCaffery's books. So Histories are okay too.
