You have the Kagome fans and the Kikyo fans. Then you have the Kagome Haters and the Kikyo Haters. People hate Kagome because they think she is annoying *Cough* Me *Cough*. Then people hate Kikyo and say she's selfish or something like that. Personally I don't like either but I prefer Kikyo to Kagome anyway. How about you

Kikyo. I didn't used to like her. But I took a good look at her and thought about it. She just wants a happy ending, even if it's not the best one in the world. Kagome on the other hand is annoying, perky, doesn't know when to shut up, and pines after a dog. She doesn't even belong in the Fudal Era, sure, Kikyo is dead, but she wants to die and be with Inuyasha, but Kagome is selfish because she has family in the future. When the shards of the jewel are complete she has to go home, and Inuyasha will be heart broken. Kikyo on the other hand would stay by his side forever. She wants to be with him for eternity, but Kagome is just leading him on. conclusion=
[glow=red,2,300]Kikyo= Misunderstood Damsil in destress.
Kagome= B****[/glow]

Have you ever read Charles D i ckens' book, "A Tale of Two Cities"? In it, there are many doubles. For example, Madame Defarge is a violent, scary revolutionist while Lucie Manette is her polar opposite by being beautiful, pure, angelic, etc. I think that's one way you can look at Kikyo and Kagome.
Kikyo -- can be considered hypercritical of situations, finds it hard to trust others, feels a taste for revenge, cold-hearted (generally-speaking), mature, and serious Kagome -- naive, immature, usually not very serious, light-hearted, credulous & gullible, and one of the weaker characters

Your right, but if you dig deep enough into the show's plot you see that the deception was what made Clay-kikyo bitter, the real kikyo, as much as we've seen of her, was only cold and crule before she meet love, and after she felt betral.

OMG I love A Tale of Two Cities (and Great expectations)...anyway on point!
I love Kikyou, not because I think she's completly inncent, but instead she actually makes choices anf faces the consequnces *cough*unlike Kagome whom seems to escape almost everything unharmed*cough* and is very much real. Everyone wants to pretend that people are wounderful and never make mistakes and I find Kikyou to be one of those characters who shows you raw emotions.
Kagome, I don't like her as much as kikyou, and I don't find her very deep, she's like...Miss teeen USA or something, but I think she cool in her own right..if not annoying.

Still, it's Kikyou. A desire for revenge molded the "real" Kikyou into the woman who decided she could no longer trust the world. Maybe if Kagome had been more like that former Kikyou, things would have been better... but meh...

If Kagome had just stayed home after the first day, seeing as how she doesn't even belong in the past in the first place, this whole mess could have been avoided. Kikyou could R.I.P and Inuyasha wouldn't have to go through Hell out of grife and guilt.

Buuut then there would be no anime, therefore Sango would not appear as she is! But she would still exist in the metaphysical sense, according to Plato...
Hehe, besides, if I were in Kagome's shoes... heck yes, study the past! I would rather see what was going on in Greece though. ~nerdy~ And falling for a guy with doggie ears...? N-O. from Jak & Daxter: "Rule number one: I don't date animals." =|

You people don't understand that Kagome is only 15 and how is she a pregnant dog?
She cares about the group, and none the less saved Kikyo in episode 151. And in that other manga chapter.
You people need to read the manga seriously.
I've met better Sango fans than you people. n_n
